Skagen, on the northern-most tip of Denmark, has gorgeous windswept beaches, open countryside, woods and moorlands. But its most distinctive feature is the many thousands of hectares of coastal dunes and dune heaths. These pictures were taken in March 2004.
This was probably THE most isolated house we came across during our exploration of many thousands of sand dunes. There was no road, no path. You had to clamber over some very steep sand dunes to get anywhere near it.
