Helsingor is a picturesque town in Denmark, north of Copenhagen, best known for being the "home" of Shakespeare's Hamlet: the 16th century castle - Kronborg Slot or Elsinore Castle - is where the drama was set. It is also the closest Danish city to Sweden: the ferry ride across the strait is just 20 minutes.
