Dragør (pronounced Drah-wer) is sleepy waterfront village, on the island of Amager, 5km south of Copenhagen Airport. It is filled with well-preserved, half-timbered yellow and pink 18th-century cottages with steep red-tile or thatched roofs. We took a wander along the cobblestone streets, oohing-and-ahhing over the gorgeous buildings, before heading to the waterfront proper, where we watched crazy Danes swimming in the freezing Baltic sea.
