Waddesdon Manor is located near Aylesbury, in Buckinghamshire, England, about 90 minutes north-west of central London.

It is part of the Rothchild Collection and was built in1874-89 in the style of a French 16th century château. It is surrounded by elaborate gardens, including a beautiful Parterre, and an aviary built in the style of a rococo trelliswork pavilion.

During my visit I also got a sneak peak behind the scenes: I was given a tour of the nursery which propagates thousands and thousands of bedding plants every year.
