Barrier Park, in the London Docklands district, is the first public park established in London after World War Two. It features a sunken garden called 'The Green Dock' in which a series of hedges have been pruned to resemble waves. The park also affords great views of the Thames Barrier, designed to protect London from flooding due to excessively high tides.
