Top of the Rock is a three-tier observation deck on top of the 70-storey Rockefeller Centre, which affords amazing views over the island of Manhattan and beyond. I got there before the crowds. It was an amazingly sunny Saturday morning and the unobstructed views were breath-taking. I'd go so far as to say they were better than those afforded the top of the Empire State building and without the three-hour wait to get to the top!
