Venice 2006: favourite shots : We returned to Venice for a week in late October/early November 2006. Unfortunately I had a chest infection at the time that rapidly turned into pneumonia, so I wasn't really in the best frame of mind or state of health to do much sight-seeing. Even so, on the times when I did venture out of our apartment near the Salute church, I had my camera at the ready and took lots of photographs. The ones here are some of my favourite. All were taken on a Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 digital camera.

Venice 2002 : We visited magical Venice for a long weekend in 2002. I fell in love with the city's ruined grandeur. Despite the miserable weather, we enjoyed exploring the island both on foot and by canal boat. Everywhere we went revealed little surprises; gorgeous shops, delicate bridges, stunning architecture, and the most amazing cafes to delight the "foodie" in all of us. I would love to go back . . . These pictures were taken with a 35mm SLR.
