Glandore, County Cork : Glandore is a fishing village located on the south west coast of Co. Cork in the Republic of Ireland. The village lies on the east of Glandore Harbour, a picturesque stretch of water that is bordered by the village of Leap at the north end and Union Hall on the west side. There are two small islands, named Adam and Eve, at the mouth of the harbour at the south end. We stayed in Glandore for a week in April 2009, renting a cute little house right on the water's edge with amazing ever-changing views across the harbour. These pictures were taking using a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 digital camera.

County Wexford : County Wexford is in the south-east of Eire. Many of these photographs were taken on a quick visit to the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve, also known as The Wexford Slobs, which is famous for the number and types of wild geese which spend the winter months there. Other photographs show the stunning white-sand beaches that make the area so popular with holidaymakers.

County Mayo : One wet and wild weekend in December 2005 we flew to Knock Airport in County Mayo, the far western coast of Ireland, to attend a wedding.

The wedding service was held in a small village church and the reception was hosted in a hotel by the coast on the Mullet Peninsula, a little finger of land that sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean.

On our second day we explored the peninsula, and I managed to take most of the pictures here in between rain showers and bursts of sunshine. Aside from the remoteness of this area, I loved the atmospheric conditions. In some places the cloud actually touched the ground!

Dingle : Dingle Peninsula is on the west coast of Ireland. The remote, Gaelic-speaking region contains the largest concentration of monastic ruins in western Europe.

Dramatic scenery, including mist-covered mountains and valleys, sandy beaches and rugged islands, adds to the area's magical atmosphere.

The photographs on this page were taken with a 35mm SLR camera in November/December 2001 (and then scanned in on a crappy scanner!)
